Clearing The Clutter Days 4 & 5

Got busy yesterday with Maddy and didn't have a chance to post the "Thursday" item. Here it is, a dvd player that no longer works. I will put this on the top of the garbage bin on Wednesday and let the man who picks up the trash for us decide the best way to dispose of this item.

I went to a second hand sale and stocked up on spring and summer clothing for my granddaughter Maddy. These are the leftover hangers that came with the clothes but I do not need. They will go to the local thrift shop for their use.

Clearing The Clutter Day 3

These two items found a new home today. I also had a small bag of clothing and magazines leave as well.

Clearing The Clutter Day 2

I know, this is a strange item. I really love this little, mini dress form.
I had a consignment store a couple of years ago and had this in the store window.
I am now going to bring it to my favorite second hand store tomorrow and I'm sure she will love to put it in her window.

Clearing The Clutter Week

I have been trying to purge items from the house that we no longer use. Last year TONS of stuff left our home. Literally. My husband has been bringing home stuff from job sites that "could be useful someday" for years. He has finally agreed that less may just be more.

I am running out of things to get rid of inside of the house. I have been at this for a few years myself. I will post at least one item a day for this week that is leaving here for a different life elsewhere.

Today's item is pictured above. I bought this as a "must have" a few years ago. I used it for one holiday season and then packed it away. Now it is in my way.
I brought this to my daughter Jenn today. She works in a really nice salon/spa and I thought this may be a nice addition for them.

Sleep Better Tonight - 7 Tips

-No eating after the sun goes down. This lets the body focus on healing and
rejuvenation instead of digesting food during the night

-Keep a notepad by the bed to jot down what is racing through your mind. Let it out on paper and then rest peacefully

-Chamomile tea and a warm bath

-Lavender under your pillow or lavender essential oils on your pillow
Keep your bedroom cool and well ventilated

-Sleep in complete darkness, If there is even the tiniest bit of light in the room
it can disrupt your circadian rhythm and your pineal gland's production of
melatonin and serotonin.

-No TV right before bed. It keeps the brain too stimulated for sleep
